Marketing Communications Manager


Position Summary

The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s external communications strategy. The Marketing Communications Manager will work closely with the Product Marketing team to align communications strategy with key objectives for each vascular segment. As part of the communications strategy, the Marketing Communications Manager will partner with the company’s public relations firm to build and execute a PR and digital communications strategy that aligns with the broader communications plan.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic communications plan for promotion and dissemination of corporate and marketing content, partner with internal functions of development and execution of internal communications strategy.
  • Manage corporate branding and support the development of targeted branding for product within vascular specialties.
  • Executes plans for the design, writing and production of marketing communications materials, including corporate literature, presentations, product/services brochures, ad campaigns, etc. Ensures that marketing materials and campaigns position the company for high visibility with customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors and media audiences.
  • Develop web content strategy, evaluating new technologies and work with web developer to implement. Identify opportunities optimize all web outlets to convert traffic into qualified leads. Create, develop and manage content for organization’s web presence. Track and report on all website metrics to analyze effectiveness of web presence.
  • Interface with key external stakeholders on behalf of the company including the media, customers, the public and others. Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences. Proactively seek out media opportunities and develop pitch materials when appropriate.
  • Manage inbound marketing system, including company newsletters, campaign development, and data analysis.
  • Implement the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness. Manage presence in social networking sites and seed content into social applications as needed.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of digital marketing programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Stay up to date on the industry trends and share knowledge with management on SEO changes and updates.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field, MBA a plus but not required.
  • 5-8 years’ in Marketing or Communications, medical device and interventional experience preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Sales, R&D, Clinical, and Quality.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills, experience with copywriting and copyediting.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
