Head of Global Sales Training


Position Summary

Develop and lead the Global Sales Training program. Develop a comprehensive and modular strategy for sales representative training program. Ensure internal compliance for sales training programs. Effective leadership skills, ability to think strategically and to work in a team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing Global Sales Training strategy that aligns to the business objectives.
  • Responsible for the design, development and delivery of global sales training programs focused on new sales team member and on-going improvement of sales force results
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Commercial Strategy and Compliance  to drive the creation and delivery of training that meets the objectives of Global Sales strategy
  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive compliant key messages to our customers through our sales team
  • Oversee the development, skill and expertise within sales training personnel to independently deliver quality training and actionable pull through plans for training reinforcement
  • Performance manage and develop training department staff.
  • Provide support, coaching, work direction and guidance to sales training staff and field sales trainers to drive strong coaching and training results
  • Ensure cost effectiveness in selection of training products and technical systems, including remote technology, that most appropriately meet the business objectives and bring training value to the sales team.
  • Analyze testing data and feedback from sales team members post-training event to determine program enhancements or modifications.
  • Develop certification program for developmental advancement within sales team and track progress.
  • Manage budget for the Global Sales Training function.


  • Bachelors Degree
  • 10 plus years sales training experience in medical device field is required.
  • 5 plus years of developing and leading sales training curriculum
  • Clinical acumen within interventional cardiology is preferred.
