David M. Handler - President and CEO

David Handler joined Corindus in October 2008 after more than 20 years at General Electric. In 2001, Mr. Handler was selected to lead marketing for GE Healthcare's newly-formed Interventional Cardiology business unit, including the cath lab imaging, monitoring and IT businesses. Most recently he served as General Manager for the Global MRI business. Prior to that, he held a variety of sales, marketing and product management leadership positions at GE. He holds a BA in economics from Union College, Schenectady NY and has extensive management training from GE's Jack Welch Leadership Development Center in Crotonville, NY.

Tal Wenderow - Co-Founder, Executive Vice President of Marketing & Business Development

Tal Wenderow co-founded Corindus in 2002 with Professor Rafael Beyar in Israel and served as the Chief Executive Officer at inception. Mr. Wenderow started with Professor Beyar's idea and single-handedly formed Corindus. He was responsible for managing all research and development, regulatory, Intellectual property, business development and marketing of the Company until the Series B round of financing. Since 2010 Mr. Wenderow has served as the Executive Vice President of Marketing & Business Development of Corindus. Mr. Wenderow holds a B.Sc. summa cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from Technion in Israel and has completed Executive Program for Life Sciences at the Merage Foundation, Merage Business School, University of California, Irvine, CA.

Erik Bates - Vice President of Operations

Erik Bates joined Corindus in September 2008 with twenty-eight years of cumulative experience in engineering, manufacturing and operations. He has served extensively in the medical device, homeland security, and contract manufacturing industries where he has provided leadership in product and process development, manufacturing transfer, commercialization scale up and business development. Prior to Corindus Mr. Bates was Vice President of Operations and Technical Services for Implant Sciences, a provider of ion mobility spectroscopic instrumentation for explosives detection. Mr. Bates has also held the positions of Vice President of Manufacturing for BioProcessors, a supplier of automated process development instrumentation; and Director of Operations at Tissuelink Medical , a supplier of electrosurgical instruments. Mr. Bates has a B.S in Plastics Engineering and an MBA. 

Jerry Jennings – Vice President of Research & Development

Jerry Jennings joined Corindus in September 2010, bringing more than twenty-five years of cumulative experience in engineering and medical product development. Prior to Corindus Mr. Jennings was Vice President of R&D for Medica Corp, a developer and manufacturer of in-vitro diagnostic analyzers highly regarded for ease of use, ease of maintenance and economy of operation. Mr. Jennings also led R&D groups for Philips Medical Systems in their Advanced Life Support Monitor / Defibrillator Business for over seven years. Mr. Jennings also served at Analogic’s Medical Imaging Division where he was instrumental in developing cardiac ultrasound technologies from concept through commercialization. Mr. Jennings has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Merrimack College.

David W. Long – Vice President, CFO

David Long joined Corindus in September 2011 after more than 7 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In 2006, Mr. Long was selected to serve as Vice President of Finance for Thermo Fisher Scientific's Laboratory Equipment Division. Most recently, he served as Finance VP for the combined Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory Workstations businesses. Prior to that, he held a variety of financial management roles at PPG Industries, Polaroid Corporation, and International Rectifier. David has also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Accountancy at Bentley University. He holds a Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Michail Pankratov, MD, PhD - Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

Michail Pankratov joined Corindus in July 2009 with over 20 years experience in regulatory and clinical affairs. Prior to Corindus, Mr. Pankratov was the Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at Eleme Medical, Inc., an aesthetic medical device company located in Merrimack, NH for 3 years. He also held positions as Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Palomar Medical Technologies in Burlington MA and Percardia in Merrimack NH and Director of Clinical Affairs at Visa Medical, Westborough MA. He has also worked at the Lahey Clinic and New England Medical Center. Mr. Pankrartov was born in Russia where he studied at Gorky State Medical School and Moscow University. After immigrating to the United States he worked for nearly 15 years at the Schepens Eye Research Institute while attending graduate school at MIT and obtained his Master’s degree 1980. Subsequently Mr. Pankratov obtained his PhD from Northeastern University in 1987 and held Assistant Professorship for Otolaryngology at Tufts Medical School and an Adjunct Assistant Professorship in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tufts University. Mr. Pankratov has authored and co-authored more than 70 publications and co-inventor on several patents.

Paul A. Pelletier – Director of Quality Assurance

Paul Pelletier joined Corindus in April 2008 with over 17 years of quality assurance, product development, and operations experience in the engineering and management of medical devices. He has directed all strategic and tactical aspects of systems development, implementation, and application to specific devices ranging from radiation therapy to minimally invasive gastroenterology and cardiovascular products. In his most recent position he was responsible for world wide technical support for robotic systems at BioProcessors, Inc. Previously he has held Quality Assurance management positions at Accellent, Inc. and MACK technologies focusing on the design, development and manufacture of early stage medical devices. Prior to that he was the Director of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs at Photoelectron Corporation developing and launching a minimally invasive therapeutic radiation treatment system which was eventually sold to Carl Zeiss. Mr. Pelletier has also held numerous quality, engineering and program management positions in the defense industry.  Mr. Pelletier has a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst and an MBA from Babson College.
